Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu' Naidu on Thursday ordered a probe into a major fire that broke out at the L&T stock point near Mandadam village at s review of yesterday's fire incident near Mandadam village in the capital area.

During a review meeting at the Secretariat here, he wondered how such a huge fire broke out violating standard operating procedures.

The incident reportedly took place when the company stored several pipes and equipment at its camp site while undergoing construction works in the capital region.

The fire spread rapidly before the arrival of fire tenders.

Naidu reviewed with concerned officials including Chief Secretary, DGP, Intelligence Chief and others taking a break from the Collectors conference.

Naidu ordered a comprehensive inquiry into the fire incident in Amaravati area after the officials briefed the Chief Minister on the nature of the accident, the damage done and other details. The Chief Minister wanted find out whether there was any sabotage behind it.
